What information do you collect from your customers?

We only collect information from people who choose to affiliate with our organization as donors, supporters, subscribers to our email list or members OR from workers who have requested specific advocacy services for which we may require full name, address and phone number or email. 

How do you collect it?

Donors and supporters may provide their email information through our website to be added to our email list. Workers wishing to become members must complete a membership form in hard copy (available on our website). Anyone wishing to receive information from us may also reach out through our website or sign up at an in person event. 

Why do you need this information and how do you use it?

Contact information is used to provide the specific communications and information that individuals request, for example email addresses are collected from anyone wishing to subscribe to our email list. Contact information, full name and date of birth is collected from workers who apply to become members of the organization so that we can provide appropriate services, including a member ID card and invitations to relevant events. 

Individuals may subscribe to our email list at our website by filling out the relevant form.

Individuals may request to receive information from us by text either by calling, texting or signing up in person at an event.

Individuals may request to be removed from any of our email or text lists at any time by texting or calling us at 315-218-5708 or emailing wccny@workerscentercny.org

Do you share your customers’ information with anyone? If so, who do you share with and for what purpose? 

We never share any client, worker or donor information to any third parties, except in the case where explicit permission is provided in situations where it may be necessary for completion of services. 

How can customers opt out of communications with you?

Subscribers to our email or WhatsApp lists may remove themselves from our list at any time or can email wccny@workerscentercny.org or call/text 315-218-5708 to be removed at any time. We do not offer SMS texting subscriptions at this time, so SMS opt out is irrelevant. 

How can customers get more information about your privacy practices or request changes to their information?

Anyone can contact us about our privacy policy or update their contact information through the contact form on our website, www.workerscny.org or by contacting us at 315-218-5708. 

Data Sharing 

Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data. Privacy policy disclosures no mobile opt-in data will be shared with third parties.

By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive texts, you consent to receive text messages from Workers Center of CNY, from 315-218-5708 regarding customer care.
